I built something for us
You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet lately.
Well… I’ve been busy.
You know I've been running a daily writing room since October of last year. Zoom, four days a week, same time, same structure. I built it because I needed it for my own screenplay. I'd been saying "next month" for about two years and I’d absolutely had it with not having new work to show.
That little experiment was called NoonWriters. The first couple months I was really just focused on getting a handle on what it was and how to run it well.
But by the end of the year I’d hit my stride and come January 1st it was time to join the group writing AND add another layer.
I challenged myself to write an entire feature film in 3 months ONLY within the NoonWriters framework.
Aaaand it worked! The actual experience of sitting down every day had me watching pages stack up. I now have a finished draft of a new script that I’m actually really proud of.
So now I'm building this out into a fresh experience, updated and improved from my personal test run.
The Feature Drafting Sprint is a 13-week guided writing program for screenwriters. May 4 through July 30. You show up Monday through Thursday, write for an hour in a live Zoom session with other writers, and leave with pages. Two session times daily (2:30 PM and 5:30 PM Pacific) so your schedule has a backup plan.
Yes, it’s operating within the NoonWriters framework - which has also seen MANY improvements since it’s launch!
The first three weeks are prep: brainstorming, character work, structure, outlining. You don't even touch FADE IN until Week 4. Weeks 5 through 10 are your vomit draft. Weeks 11 through 13 are editing. Every session opens with 3 targeted Sparks tailored to where we are in the process. There's an After-Party Q&A after each session where you can ask me anything.
And, yes. I will be doing this run again, alongside you.
You don't need to come in with a finished outline or a perfect concept AT ALL. All you need is familiarity with the screenplay format. The Sprint builds the rest.
There are 3 Tiers:
The Full Arc, $1,299: Sprint access + outline coverage + two 1:1 strategy calls with me + vomit draft coverage + a 4-week polish window + full Deep Dive Coverage and debrief. Three rounds of professional written feedback on your script. This is the whole thing.
Development Track, $599 — Sprint access + outline coverage + vomit draft coverage. Two rounds of feedback at the structural moments where it matters most.
Sprint Only, $349 — The room, the curriculum, the prompts, the accountability. Everything except coverage.
Payment plans available on all three tiers (3 monthly installments). Full refund if you change your mind before May 4.
This is founding cohort pricing. Prices will go up for Sprint #2. This is a lot of work and it’s only going to get better.
I've read hundreds of scripts and coached writers through countless drafts. I know what gets people to THE END. It's not talent. It's consistency, structure, and the audacity to believe in yourself enough to push through whether you feel like showing up or not.
If you've been waiting to be ready, you're ready enough.
Talk soon,
Kate
P.S. I’ve been re-branding!!! You’ll see some areas of the site are more updated than others + we have a new name for NoonWriters that may have been trickling through your feed 👀
