3-2-1 | Screenwriting Thursday - Happy New Year! Unbelievable Offer
Happy New Year!
You may have noticed I fell off this newsletter for the last couple weeks. A lot has been going on, including moving, another major life event that I’ll be announcing shortly, alongside traveling home for the holidays - this time with a small dog who has 1. never been on an airplane 2. Has never seen snow. Fun!
Life has been hectic to say the least.
But I’m friggen stoked for the new year.
And…I have a confession to make.
As someone who has worked for the last 10 years providing feedback on screenplays and helping emergent writers break into the business using my experience working for top-tier, boutique Hollywood literary management companies…
I’ve spent very little time working on my own writing.
In 2026 I’m determined to change that.
This year, I am scheduling my writing time, guarding it fiercely and have a plan to FINALLY finishing my own feature length screenplay by the end of March.
It’s incredibly hard to show up for your writing day in, day out without external support, especially when everything feels so all over the place in the entertainment industry.
So, I factored that in way back in September with the development of NoonWriters.
Every Monday through Thursday of 2026, I won’t be writing alone. I’ll be writing alongside a team of other screenwriters; coaching, studying, laying down pages, and celebrating everyone’s wins along the way, no matter how small.
And for a limited time I am sweeting the deal:
For every new writer who signs up in January I will provide an hour and a half FREE one-on-one coaching session where we will work together to build a fully custom plan to FINALLY hit your writing goals in 2026.
Our dedicated team of NoonWriters is still small, so you’ll get more personalized attention than you may realize. It’s an absolutely wonderful group of people and they truly make showing up day in and day out an absolute joy.

We WILL be running on New Years Day!
So, what are you waiting for? Permission? Another 3 to 10 years to go by without having made any progress? The perfect writing scenario to just fall in your lap? Someone to discover and invest in you? Save you? Are you waiting to feel ready? Or less afraid?
Because no one is going to give you permission. No one is going to build the life you want for you. The perfect time to write doesn’t exist.
You deserve good things. You deserve to set yourself up for success. The world needs your voice - even if you’re afraid or don’t feel ready.
If we haven’t talked 1-on-1 yet, I would love to offer you
a free 20 minute coaching session in exchange for answering a few market research questions! There’s no pressure or sales
(I don’t bring up my services unless you do)
and people see real results after just this meeting!
3 TIPS FROM ME
I.
Guard your writing time fiercely. There may be days when you don’t want to show up or it feels easy to prioritize something else. Resist that urge. Show up anyway.
II.
There will never be a ‘right time’ to carve out room for your writing. But, the new year is a great time to build new habits. Don’t waste the opportunity for natural momentum.
III.
Do not over-commit when building new habits. Over-committing to a new habit is the NUMBER ONE issue I see in new writing clients. They’re able to show up and make some really nice progress for about 3 weeks until they burn out and fall off. Then they spend about a month and a half beating themselves up, not accomplishing anything before they’re able to get back on track at a more reasonable pace.
It may sound counter-intuitive, but set your writing habit success based on what you can do on your absolute worst day. Over time you’ll build more writing muscle and be able to do more.
Consistency is key.
2 QUOTES FROM OTHERS
I.
Mel Robbins, New York Times bestselling author of THE FIVE SECOND RULE, THE HIGH FIVE HABIT, and THE LET THEM THEORY:
“Waiting around to feel like doing something means you’ll never do it.”
II.
The great Earnest Hemingway:
"Go all the way with it. Do not back off. For once, go all the goddamn way with what matters.”
