Stories help us make sense of the world around us. They give us a sense of connection. They allow us to live different lives, if only for a moment. Stories transcend time and culture. They are how we learn, how we empathize, how we play, how we relax after a long day. The stories we leave behind are immortal

Sharing my writing is the most terrifying thing I’ve ever done.

Let me be clear: I’ve done some scary sh*t:

I moved to LA, by myself with next to no friends, connections in the city, or financial safety-net. I’ve performed on stage in front of thousands of people. I’ve been grilled by a venture capitalist on the operations of a start up with millions of dollars in initial investment.

Even compared to all of those experiences, there’s nothing quite so scary as sharing a fresh piece of writing for the first time. I’m not kidding.
